Balneário Camboriú advances drainage works and tourism infrastructure
In Balneário Camboriú, the municipal government has reached the 50% completion mark on a new drainage system for Avenida do Estado. The project involves installing over 350 meters of piping to replace aging infrastructure that has contributed to flooding in the area. While heavy rains in September and October caused minor delays, officials expect to complete the work by the end of November, provided weather conditions remain favorable. Paving for the completed sections is scheduled for early November.
Simultaneously, the Unipraias Park cable car system continues to serve as a key piece of tourism infrastructure in the region. The system, which features 43 cabins capable of carrying six passengers each, connects Barra Sul to Praia de Laranjeiras via Morro da Aguada. The 3,250-meter round trip offers views of the Atlantic Forest and the urban coastline, integrating aerial transport with coastal access to facilitate movement between different geographic areas of the city.
