Balneário Camboriú and Camboriú implement one-way traffic rule
Starting Friday, September 25, the access route connecting Balneário Camboriú and Camboriú will transition to a one-way system. The change affects Rua Catanduvas in Balneário Camboriú and Rua Peroba in the Taboleiro neighborhood of Camboriú.
The new traffic flow will move from Camboriú toward Avenida Marginal Oeste in Balneário Camboriú. This measure was proposed by the Camboriú City Hall to the Balneário Camboriú Transit Authority (BC Trânsito) following accidents at the location. The goal is to organize vehicle flow, increase safety for drivers and pedestrians, and improve circulation on this vital inter-municipal connection.
The implementation is a collaborative effort between the two municipalities. Because the road crosses the Rio Peroba bridge, it serves as a boundary where the jurisdiction shifts from Camboriú to Balneário Camboriú. Local transit officials from both BC Trânsito and Camboriú's Demutran emphasized that integrated action is essential for ensuring efficient and safe mobility in the region.
