Balneário Camboriú and Jaraguá do Sul Open New Public Art Spaces
The municipality of Balneário Camboriú will reopen its Galeria Municipal de Arte on Saturday, 1 August, at 5 p.m. The free event includes a musical performance by the vocal group As Passarinhas and the exhibition “Olhares sobre BC,” featuring works by more than 30 local artists. The gallery, the city’s only public art space since 2014, has undergone a three‑month renovation costing R$ 231,518, adding new lighting, sound, and climate‑control systems.
On Sunday, 2 August, the city of Jaraguá do Sul will inaugurate the Caminho das Artes, a 600‑meter open‑air gallery along a former railway line in the city centre. The free program runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and includes musical shows, cultural interventions, guided tours and meetings with the 30 participating artists. Municipal works have upgraded the pavement, drainage, lighting and landscaping to make the space safer and more welcoming.
