Paracuru’s Festival Maré Cultural offers free music, food, workshops

The Festival Maré Cultural took place on 18 July 2026 in the Praça de Eventos, Paracuru, Ceará, Brazil. Organized with resources from the Ministry of Culture through the Instituto Coletivo Alumiar (ICA), the event was free and open to the public.

The program began at 16:00 with a gastronomic fair featuring local vendors and performances by the Banda de Música Mestre Pixuna, the Batuquê de Praia and the Grupo de Capoeira Camuá. A “Cozinha Show” showcased chefs Aline Gonçalves Silva, Marina Araujo and Herickson Torres, highlighting regional culinary techniques. Music continued on the main stage with a DJ set and live shows by Donaleda and Eliane, running until midnight.

Three free artistic‑formation workshops were also offered at the Banda de Música headquarters: “Ritmos da Maré” (21‑23 July), “Do Palco ao Streaming” (27‑29 July) and “Delta Ancestral” (4‑6 August), each limited to 20 participants with pre‑registration. The festival aimed to stimulate the local creative economy, professionalise artists and promote cultural exchange in the Vale do Curu.
