Balneário Camboriú defends teacher benefit incorporation

The administration of Balneário Camboriú and local unions have joined forces to defend a legal right regarding education professional benefits. Mayor Juliana Pavan met with representatives from the Municipal Civil Servants Union (Sisembc) and the Association of Teachers and Specialists (Aprobc) to coordinate a defense against a Direct Action of Unconstitutionality (ADI) filed by the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina.

The legal challenge, filed on August 12, questions Article 41 of Complementary Law No. 12/2015. This specific provision allows for the incorporation of a 30% gratification for teachers and specialists after ten years of public service. The municipal attorney general's office is working to ensure the continuity of this benefit for education professionals.
