Balneário Camboriú advances urban and tourism infrastructure

Balneário Camboriú is undergoing significant urban, tourism, and service developments. The city is seeing high real estate valuation, with residential prices reaching an average of R$ 15,228 per square meter. To support tourism beyond the summer season, over R$ 2 billion has been invested in theme parks and urban improvements, including the ongoing urbanization of the Barra Sul waterfront.

In the tourism sector, the Expocentro Balneário Camboriú Júlio Tedesco has become the first local facility to adopt the city’s new ‘BC’ visual identity. Meanwhile, the Parque Unipraias will undergo temporary closures on August 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27 for preventive maintenance and high-altitude rescue training in coordination with the Fire Department and Civil Defense.

Public services and social care are also seeing updates. Águas de Camboriú is implementing network reinforcements to improve water supply efficiency and accommodate urban growth. Additionally, professionals from the municipal Lar São Vicente de Paula recently participated in the 14th South Brazilian Congress of Geriatrics and Gerontology to integrate scientific advancements into elderly care practices.
