Balneário Camboriú hosts street culture festival and prepares fishing festival site

The city of Balneário Camboriú organized the third edition of the "Cultura na Rua" project in the Taquaras neighbourhood on Saturday, June 13. Sponsored by the municipal government and the local cultural foundation, the free event featured live music, dance, theatre, a Santa Claus appearance, graffiti art, face painting, craft and book stalls, and food sales at the community school facilities. Partners included the State University of Santa Catarina, local resident associations and cultural groups.

In the Barra neighbourhood, the municipal authority temporarily dismantled a children’s playground on Avenida Rodesindo Pavan on June 26 to make way for the Festival do Pescador do Bom Sucesso, scheduled for June 26‑28. The festival – combining the traditional Fisherman’s Festival and the Bom Sucesso celebration – aims to showcase local culture, music, gastronomy and religious activities, expecting thousands of attendees. The playground will be re‑installed after the event concludes.
