Balneário Camboriú launches coastal redevelopment as traffic detours begin on Rua Dom Afonso

From Monday, 15 June, drivers in Balneário Camboriú must follow a temporary detour on Rua Dom Afonso while construction work creates an access pocket for a new development. Traffic heading toward the city centre continues normally, but vehicles traveling from the centre to the neighbourhood must divert via Rua Dom Carlos, then Rua Dom Diniz, before rejoining Rua Dom Afonso near the Gastronomic Avenue. Signage will be in place from 8:00 to 16:30 each day, and the work is scheduled to finish on Friday, 19 June.

On the same day, the city’s multi‑million‑real‑estate coastal reurbanisation entered a new phase, beginning work on section 3 of the Central Beach shoreline. The stretch between the Fisher Dreams project and Rua 4400 will see a new promenade, landscaping, kiosks, leisure areas and the installation of drainage, sewer and water supply networks. The overall project, covering about 1,500 metres and divided into five phases, has a budget of roughly R$ 31 million. It is being carried out by FJ Construtora, with electrical work contracted to Mercolux Comercial Elétrica. Residents and beach‑tennis operators have been asked to clear equipment from the sand strip before 8 a.m. each day.
