Balneário Camboriú on alert for heavy storms and intense rain

Balneário Camboriú is under alert for a sequence of storms and intense rainfall expected between Sunday (30) and the early hours of Tuesday (1st). The Civil Defense has warned that accumulated rainfall could reach between 100 and 150 millimeters during this period.

Monday (31) is identified as the most critical day for rainfall. The forecast includes the possibility of strong winds and hail, which increases the risks of flooding, flash floods, and landslides within the municipality. Strong wind gusts may also lead to roof damage, fallen trees, and power outages.

As of Sunday morning, monitored rivers and streams in the area were reported at normal levels. Local authorities continue to monitor watercourses, and residents are advised to avoid walking through flooded streets or near trees and power poles during intense weather events.
