Balneário Camboriú's sewage auxiliary network project reaches 43% completion
The municipal "Praia 100% Limpa" initiative in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, has completed 43% of its auxiliary sewage network along Avenida Brasil. The project, managed by the municipal water and sanitation company Emsa, aims to connect buildings to the main collector, improve wastewater treatment, and enhance the beach’s water quality. Completed sections include the stretch on Rua 3700 and the segment between streets 3700 and 3600. The next phase will focus on the remaining 12 sections between streets 3600 and 2900, representing the remaining 57% of the contract.
Emsa officials highlighted that auxiliary lines are essential for extending coverage and operational efficiency, supporting the broader goal of making the central beach fully swimmable. The work is scheduled to continue according to the project timeline.
