Balochistan Chief Minister pushes for digitalization and public service reform
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed government officials to prioritize public service and improve administrative efficiency. During a visit to North Dera Bugti to review developmental activities and inaugurate new government offices, Bugti emphasized that there will be no compromise on the timely completion of projects or the effective use of public resources.
He instructed officials to adopt an ‘open door policy’ and ensure strict adherence to office hours to prevent citizens from facing unnecessary delays. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of high construction standards and transparency in infrastructure projects, particularly regarding water reservoirs and dams.
In a parallel effort toward good governance, the provincial government has begun digitalizing summaries following the successful implementation of e-filing across 28 government departments. To date, over 183,000 e-files have been processed. The digitalization process is currently being rolled out to 10 additional departments to accelerate decision-making and increase transparency in official affairs.
