Balochistan coal mine explosion kills four and injures five

A gas explosion in a coal mine in the Harnai district of Balochistan, Pakistan, has resulted in the deaths of four workers and left five others injured. The incident occurred on Sunday due to the accumulation of gas within the mine.

Following the explosion, a rescue team from the Pakistan Army arrived at the scene, recovering the four bodies and rescuing the five injured miners. The survivors were transported to the provincial capital, Quetta, for medical treatment.

This incident follows a series of similar accidents in the region, including a methane gas incident in August in the Dukki district that killed three workers, and a major explosion in July in the Sorange area that claimed 34 lives. These recurring events have raised significant concerns regarding safety standards and gas leak prevention in Pakistan's coal mines.
