Balochistan explosion kills two children and injures three

An explosion in the Fateh Ali Bazaar area of Gowargo tehsil, Panjgur district, has killed two children and injured three others. The deceased have been identified as nine-year-old Arman and 10-year-old Amaal, while three other boys, aged seven, nine, and 12, sustained severe injuries.

Local sources and reports from The Balochistan Post allege that the explosion was caused by an object attached to a quadcopter operated by Pakistani security forces. The children reportedly found a suspicious object hanging from a tree that exploded after they disturbed it. While the exact nature of the device remains unconfirmed, local allegations suggest that military forces may have directed journalists to report the incident as a hand-grenade blast or another type of explosion.

This incident follows a series of reported civilian casualties involving military drones and quadcopters in the Balochistan region. In late September, four young men were killed in an alleged drone strike in the Balicha region of Kech district; while authorities claimed they were militants, families maintained they were unarmed civilians on a picnic. Other recent reports include alleged quadcopter attacks in the Mand area that injured five civilians.
