A notable Dutch presence included seven Dutch competitors. Dirk van Duijvenbode recorded a 6‑0 whitewash of Germany’s Paul Krohne in the second round, while fellow Dutchman Jimmy van Schie also produced a 6‑0 victory over Ian White. Andrew Gilding defeated Jeffrey de Zwaan 6‑4 and Justin Hood beat Max Hopp 6‑4 after averaging over 112.

Belgian Dimitri Van den Bergh returned to the Euro Tour after a long absence, winning his first‑round match against Alan Soutar 6‑2. German qualifier Niko Springer secured a 6‑2 win over Nandor Majors, keeping the host nation in contention.

Several top players withdrew before the tournament, prompting replacements such as Rob Cross, Richard Veenstra and Christian Kist. The event served as a key stepping stone for players aiming to qualify for larger PDC majors later in the season.
