Baltic Watch unveils Aquascaphe GMT MK-II with upgraded movement

Baltic Watch has released the Aquascaphe GMT MK-II, an updated version of its permanent collection designed with a focus on travel functionality. The new model features a redesigned 39.5mm stainless steel case that includes crown guards, increased water resistance of up to 200 meters, and more precise edge contouring.

A significant technical change is the transition from the Soprod C125 movement to the Miyota 9075 automatic movement. This new caliber provides a true GMT function with an independently adjustable local hour hand, allowing users to change time zones without stopping the seconds hand or disturbing the second time zone. While the Miyota movement offers a 42-hour power reserve, it features different accuracy specifications compared to the previous Swiss movement.

Visually, the MK-II maintains vintage-inspired elements such as a glossy black dial and Super-LumiNova® BGW9 indices, but adopts a more contemporary tool-watch aesthetic through bolder hands, markers, and a more robust case profile.
