Baltimore man arrested in fatal shooting of 12-year-old
Tyree Reynolds, 23, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 12-year-old Khloe Ishway near Leon Day Park in West Baltimore. Reynolds faces multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment.
The incident occurred near a youth football game on Saturday. Investigators believe the shooting originated from an argument between two men regarding a parking spot, resulting in Khloe being caught in the crossfire. She later died at a hospital. Four other individuals—a 25-year-old woman, a 28-year-old man, a 23-year-old man, and a 35-year-old woman—were also injured during the event.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott and Police Commissioner Richard Worley stated that the arrest is a significant step toward accountability. In response to the tragedy, hundreds of community members participated in a peace walk to the park to call for an end to gun violence, and a candlelight vigil was organized to honor the victim.
