Baltimore Orioles decline multiple player options

The Baltimore Orioles have made several roster decisions ahead of the expected December 1 labor lockout. The team declined a $20 million club option for outfielder Luis Robert Jr. for the 2027 season, which will result in a $2 million buyout and make the 29-year-old a free agent. Robert, who joined the Orioles via waivers from the Mets, finished the season with a .221 average and 11 home runs across 61 games.

Other significant moves include the team declining a $7.5 million option for Ryan Mountcastle and a $3.5 million option for left-hander Dietrich Enns, the latter of which includes a $125,000 buyout. The Orioles also let outfielder Leody Taveras enter free agency after declining to meet his estimated arbitration value.

Additionally, the organization extended a $23.15 million qualifying offer to left-hander Trevor Rogers, who must decide on the offer by November 17. Several other players, including Heston Kjerstad, Yohel Pozo, and Yosver Zueleta, have also become free agents.
