Baltimore Orioles face pitching rotation challenges

The Baltimore Orioles face significant questions regarding their starting pitching rotation as they look toward future seasons. Veteran Chris Bassitt, signed to a one-year, $18.5 million deal, has struggled to provide significant production on the mound following his arrival.

Younger arms also face scrutiny. Shane Baz, a high-profile acquisition from the Rays, delivered a pedestrian performance during his first season in Baltimore, leading to questions about whether he can develop into a true ace. Similarly, Kyle Bradish must regain command of his slider and overall effectiveness as he works to recover from the impact of Tommy John surgery and a difficult 2026 campaign.

With the team trailing in the AL East, the development and stability of these pitchers are seen as critical factors for the franchise's success.
