Baltimore Orioles to remove 2,000 seats at Camden Yards

The Baltimore Orioles are initiating renovations at Oriole Park at Camden Yards to create a new social space for fans. The project involves removing approximately 2,000 seats from the left-field upper deck.

The redesigned area will feature standing-room viewing sections, drink rails, a central bar, multiple food and beverage options, and televisions. This new space will be accessible to all fans with a game ticket, requiring no special access. On non-game days, the area will be available for private event rentals.

Construction is set to begin immediately, with the team aiming for completion by March 29, ahead of the home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. As a result of the seat removal, the estimated seating capacity of Camden Yards will decrease to 40,234. The organization indicated that further renovation announcements are expected later this year as part of a broader effort to modernize the venue.
