Baltimore Ravens consider wide receiver addition after injuries
Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter indicated the team may seek to acquire a free-agent wide receiver following injuries to key pass catchers during their Week 1 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
Zay Flowers is currently considered “day to day” due to a hamstring injury, while rookie Ja’Kobi Lane is expected to be sidelined for a longer period after suffering a fractured wrist. Lane is a potential candidate for injured reserve, which could result in a minimum four-week absence.
The Ravens finished their opening game with only three healthy receivers available: Rashod Bateman, Chris Moore, and LaJohntay Wester. Minter expressed confidence in Devontez Walker and Elijah Sarratt to step into larger roles, though the team is actively evaluating all options to bolster the depth of the receiving corps.
