Baltimore Ravens expect Tyler Loop to start as kicker in Week 1

Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter has indicated that second-year kicker Tyler Loop is expected to start in the upcoming game against Indianapolis. Despite Loop's recent preseason struggles, including missing three of eight exhibition kicks, Minter expressed confidence in the youngster's performance during training camp.

To ensure roster depth and competition, the Ravens recently signed veteran kicker Jake Moody to the practice squad. Minter noted that the addition of Moody has pushed Loop to perform better, stating that Loop has not missed a kick since Moody joined the team. The organization remains focused on performance, with the kicking role subject to change based on execution in high-pressure situations.

Additionally, rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane, a third-round pick from USC, is preparing for his debut season. Lane noted that he is drawing inspiration from veteran teammates such as Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Mark Andrews.
