Baltimore Ravens face center shortage after Gwyn and Pocic injuries

The Baltimore Ravens are facing a significant shortage at the center position following long-term injuries to both Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic. Head coach Jesse Minter confirmed that Gwyn is dealing with an ankle injury and Pocic is sidelined with a knee injury.

In the immediate term, the team expects rookie first-round pick Vega Ioane to step in at center. The roster is currently depleted at the position, as Danny Pinter previously suffered a season-ending knee injury and Corey Bullock was claimed off waivers by the Panthers.

Minter indicated that the team may place Gwyn and Pocic on injured reserve and is considering signing a new center externally to address the depth crisis.
