Baltimore Ravens finalize 53-man roster with key injury management

The Baltimore Ravens have finalized their initial 53-man roster, opting to keep defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan on the active roster rather than placing them on short-term injured reserve. This decision allows the team to continue evaluating both players as they ramp up from previous injuries, including Madubuike’s neck injury, without committing them to an immediate multi-game absence.

Instead, the Ravens utilized their two designated-to-return injured reserve spots on cornerback Bilhal Kone and rookie running back Adam Randall. Both players will be required to miss at least the first four games of the season and will not be eligible for activation until Week 5.

Additionally, the roster includes undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano, who led the NFL in preseason passing yards with 509. Fagnano is expected to serve as the third-string quarterback behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.
