Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane placed on injured reserve

The Baltimore Ravens are facing significant depth issues at the wide receiver position following news that rookie Ja’Kobi Lane will be placed on injured reserve. Lane underwent wrist surgery on Wednesday morning after sustaining an injury during his NFL debut against the Indianapolis Colts.

In addition to Lane’s absence, the Ravens are monitoring the status of Zay Flowers, who left the season opener with a hamstring injury. While Flowers is considered day-to-day, his availability for the upcoming home opener against the New Orleans Saints remains uncertain.

To address the roster vacancy created by Lane, the team has promoted Chris Moore to the active roster. Other available receivers include Rashod Bateman, Devontez Walker, and rookie Elijah Sarratt. The injury wave also impacts the defensive side of the ball, with several players, including Trey Hendrickson and Ronnie Stanley, listed with various ailments.
