Balve Summer Reading Club reports record participation

The Summer Reading Club in Balve has reported record-breaking participation numbers. A total of 182 participants registered for the program, an increase from 145 in the previous year. Of those, 163 participants successfully completed the challenge of reading and stamping at least three books.

To ensure the continuation of the tradition following the loss of state subsidies, the Vereinigte Sparkasse im MK provided 500 euros in financial support. The club also introduced new features, including online registration and a digital logbook option, which was selected by 48 participants.

The demographic breakdown showed high engagement among primary school children, specifically those aged 6 to 10. The event concluded with a foam party and the presentation of 15 ‘Reading Oscars’.
