Bam Adebayo records 83 points in historic NBA performance

Bam Adebayo achieved a historic scoring feat by recording 83 points in a game against Washington, marking the second-highest individual scoring performance in NBA history. Adebayo made 20 of his 43 shots and converted 36 of 43 free throws during the 42-minute appearance.

Jimmy Butler, a former teammate, praised the performance, describing Adebayo as an “incredibly talented player” who can perform at a very high level. Butler noted that while the total was historic, it also reflected a collective effort against defensive pressure. With this performance, Adebayo surpassed Kobe Bryant’s 81 points, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point record in the league's all-time scoring rankings.
