Bamboo Airways returns final Airbus A320neo

Bamboo Airways has returned its final Airbus A320neo, marking a significant contraction of its fleet. The aircraft, previously registered as VN-A596, was the first Airbus A320neo to operate in Vietnam when it joined the airline in November 2019.

Following the end of its lease in August 2026, the aircraft was transferred to CDB Aviation and re-registered as VQ-CDF. It was recorded as being stored in Jakarta on August 22, 2026, after being held at Noi Bai International Airport since late July.

The departure of this aircraft leaves Bamboo Airways with only one operational aircraft in its fleet: an Airbus A321-200 registered as VN-A227. Throughout its history, the airline has operated a total of 47 aircraft across various models, including Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Embraer jets.
