Bamboo Insurance Services files for $100 million NYSE IPO
Bamboo Insurance Services has filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a $100 million initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ‘BMB’. Founded in 2018 by John Chu, the company operates as a managing general underwriter (MGU), utilizing data analytics and automation to sit between homeowners and insurance carriers.
The company specializes in homeowners insurance, particularly in wildfire-prone regions of California and in Texas. For the first half of 2026, Bamboo reported $173 million in revenue, an increase from $124 million during the same period in 2025. However, net profit for the same period decreased to $13.8 million, compared to $23.7 million in the first half of 2025.
Major financial institutions, including J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley, are serving as joint lead bookrunning managers. The IPO will provide an opportunity for majority owner CVC Capital Partners to reduce its stake and realize investment returns.
