Bambu Lab enters laser processing market with R1 cutter

Bambu Lab has expanded its product lineup into the laser processing market with the introduction of the R1, its first laser cutter. The device features a 55W CO2 laser and a 600x300mm processing area, capable of cutting and engraving materials such as wood, acrylic, leather, paper, and fabric. It also supports engraving on glass, stone, and coated metals.

The R1 includes automated features designed to simplify setup, such as automatic laser path adjustment and material detection. These functions allow the machine to detect material position, surface height, and tool head movement, enabling engraving on both flat and curved surfaces. In Japan, APPLE TREE has begun accepting pre-orders for the device.
