Bamir Halili extradited from Dubai to Albania

Bamir Halili, a 30-year-old man from Kukës, has been extradited from Dubai to Albania following an international police operation. The extradition was facilitated through cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Abu Dhabi as part of a coordinated effort known as ‘The Wanted’ operation.

Halili had been wanted internationally since 2024, when the Court of First Instance of Kukës issued an arrest warrant for him. He faces criminal charges including the illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives, and ammunition, as well as domestic violence. Following his return to Albania, he will face further legal proceedings regarding these charges.
