Baní City Council approves RD$31.5 million investment plan for 2027

The Ayuntamiento de Baní held an extraordinary session of its Open Town Hall (Cabildo Abierto) to approve the 2027 Participatory Municipal Budget (PPM). The approved investment plan totals RD$31,575,000 and is intended to fund works across 103 sectors within the municipality.

During the session, community representatives from the Los Cajuilitos sector requested housing repairs for vulnerable families, noting that structural deficiencies in homes become critical during rainy periods. Residents also raised concerns regarding electrical service interruptions in the upper part of the sector.

Mayor Santo Ramírez emphasized the administration's commitment to the participatory budget mechanism to address community demands, while Council President Freddy de los Santos highlighted the importance of community delegates in identifying local needs and aspirations.
