Baní inaugurates Simón Zapata Park in Río Arriba

The Baní Mayor's Office, in collaboration with the Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEHID), inaugurated the Simón Zapata Park in the Río Arriba community on Saturday, October 24. The project fulfills a demand from local residents that has persisted for over 20 years.

Managed by KDK Ingenieros, the project involved a total investment of 9,997,600 pesos. The development includes complementary works to enhance the environment, such as 86.2 square meters of sidewalks, 52.10 linear meters of curbs, and seven gutters.

Mayor Santo Ramírez noted that the park's location near educational centers, a polyclinic, a sports court, and a community center makes it a key local landmark. The space is intended for family gatherings, recreation, and community events such as weddings and celebrations.
