Baní: Man shot dead in incident involving DICRIM agents

A young man known by the nickname ‘Wilo’ died after being shot multiple times in the Santa Rosa sector of Baní. Preliminary reports indicate that agents from the Department of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM), part of the National Police, were involved in the incident.

This event marks the second death in less than a week involving police agents in the area. It follows the death of 40-year-old Rafael Cruz Tejeda on September 30 in the Villa Fundación municipal district. While police stated Cruz Tejeda was wanted for several crimes, details regarding the circumstances and the firearm allegedly held by the victim have not been fully disclosed.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding both incidents.
