Lindt announces price reductions for Christmas in Germany

Lindt & Sprüngli has announced price reductions for several products in Germany ahead of the 2026 Christmas season. Michael Spiller, Lindt's CEO for Germany, stated that while the full impact of falling cocoa prices will not be felt until 2027, the company is accelerating these cuts to benefit consumers this year.

Specific price adjustments include the 125-gram 'Für Kenner' praline pack, which will drop from a recommended retail price of 8.99 Euro to 7.99 Euro. The 200-gram version will decrease from 13.99 Euro to 11.99 Euro. Seasonal items, such as the 125-gram chocolate Santa Claus, will see prices fall from 5.99 Euro to 5.49 Euro, with specialty flavors seeing even larger percentage decreases of up to 21.5 percent.

These reductions come as the company faces a decline in sales and a significant drop in its share price, which has fallen 22 percent since the beginning of the year. While the price cuts are confirmed for the German market, the company has not confirmed if similar reductions will be implemented in Switzerland.
