Banaras Hindu University hosts EMINDIA 2026 emergency medicine conference

The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is hosting EMINDIA 2026, the 22nd All India Conference of Academic Emergency Medicine. Running from September 9 to 13, the conference is centered on the theme “Strengthening ECO Services,” which refers to Emergency, Critical Care, and Operative Services.

During the formal inaugural ceremony held at the K N Udupa Auditorium, several professional recognitions were distributed. These included the Academic College of Emergency Experts (ACEE) Fellowships in Emergency Medicine, Emergency Pediatrics, and Critical Injury Care, as well as Ashwamedh certificates for faculty development.

Various INDUSEM awards were also presented, including the Jan Suraksha Paritoshik and the Samajik Abhiyantrik Samman. Prof. Sanjay Gupta, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, received the Swasthya Niti Samman for his administrative and policy contributions. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi attended as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of professional dedication to the growth of the medical field in India.
