Banaras Hindu University releases CUET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has published the Round 1 seat‑allotment results for the CUET UG 2026 admissions cycle. Candidates who participated in the Combined Allotment Program (CAP‑UG) can view their individual allotment status on the official Samarth portal (bhucuet.samarth.edu.in) or the admission portal (admission.bhu.ac.in). Those who receive a seat must confirm acceptance and pay the admission fee by 23:59 GMT on 3 August 2026, otherwise the seat will be released.

Applicants can choose to “Freeze” the allotted seat, confirming it as final, or opt for an “Upgrade” (also called “Float”) in hopes of a better seat in subsequent rounds. The counselling process comprises four regular rounds followed by a spot round to fill any remaining vacancies, with seat allocation based on normalized CUET scores.
