Banco Alimentare del Lazio to name Aprilia warehouse after volunteers

The Banco Alimentare del Lazio is naming its recently renovated warehouse in Aprilia after long-time volunteers Ulderico Romagnoli and Pasquale Del Vecchio. The two men, who recently passed away, were described as pillars of the association and essential to the logistics hub's operations in the Pontine region.

A dedication ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The event will be attended by local political and institutional authorities, as well as the Bishop of Albano, Monsignor Vincenzo Viva.

The Aprilia logistics center plays a significant role in local poverty relief. Last year, the facility distributed over 2,500 tons of food, supporting 144 partner organizations and indirectly assisting approximately 30,000 people in need. Marco Picciaia, President of the Banco Alimentare del Lazio, noted that the risk of poverty in Aprilia and the province of Latina is steadily increasing, highlighting the growing need for charitable support.
