Banco Alimentare marks milestones in Italy through anniversaries and dedications

The Banco Alimentare, an organization dedicated to food distribution and combating waste, has marked significant milestones in Italy. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, the organization celebrated its 30th anniversary in Pasian di Prato. Regional Finance Councilor Barbara Zilli described the institution as a vital asset of solidarity for the region, noting its role in supporting families in difficulty and its commitment to recovering food surpluses.

In Aprilia, the Banco Alimentare's logistics hub on the Pontina highway was officially named in honor of Ulderico Romagnoli and Pasquale Del Vecchio, two long-time volunteers and pillars of the association. The Aprilia hub plays a major role in local poverty relief, having distributed over 2,500 tons of food to 144 partner organizations and indirectly assisting approximately 30,000 people in need over the past year.
