Banco Caribe Receives A- Rating Upgrade and Positive Outlook

Banco Caribe announced that international rating agency Feller Rate confirmed its A‑minus solvency rating and raised its outlook from Stable to Positive. Executive President Edgar Del Toro said the rating reflects the bank’s focus on digital transformation, operational efficiency, diversified business segments and sustainable growth for customers, shareholders and the country.

The announcement comes as the broader Latin American financial sector continues rapid digitalisation. Fintech growth, Banking‑as‑a‑Service models, open banking, virtual assets and tokenised real‑estate are expanding, with several countries, including the Dominican Republic, adopting modern regulations to support crowdfunding, digital wallets and peer‑to‑peer lending. These trends underline the strategic context for Banco Caribe’s emphasis on innovation and competitive positioning.
