Banco de Alimentos Paraguay to host annual dinner to combat hunger

The Banco de Alimentos Paraguay (BAPY) is organizing its annual dinner on Wednesday, August 26, at the Talleyrand Costanera. Under the slogan #PlatosQueMultiplican, the organization aims to secure 500 attendees to help fund its mission of combating hunger and food waste.

The funds raised from the event are intended to facilitate the delivery of 76,500 meals to vulnerable populations. BAPY currently supports 165 social organizations across seven departments, reaching approximately 52,311 people, including those in shelters, nurseries, community dining rooms, hospitals, and nursing homes.

José San Martín, president of BAPY, stated that “a plate that is shared is a future that is transformed,” emphasizing that the event is a primary source of financing for the institution's programs and projects.
