Banco de Tierra del Fuego launches capital markets unit

The Banco de Tierra del Fuego (BTF) has launched a specialized unit focused on capital markets, fiduciary services, and structured finance. This new division is designed to support investment projects that require alternatives to traditional credit lines due to their scale, complexity, or specific characteristics.

Key financial tools offered by the new unit include operations with non-traditional guarantees, business unions for new developments, trusts for infrastructure and public works, and syndicated loans. BTF President Adrián Cosentino stated that the goal is to provide solutions tailored to individual project needs, potentially working alongside other financial entities and multilateral credit organizations.

Additionally, the BTF has formalized its membership in the Mercado Argentino de Valores (MAV). According to MAV CEO Fernando J. Luciani, this integration allows the bank to act as a market participant, enabling it to buy, sell, and intermediate in the supply and demand of securities. This move aims to strengthen the link between the provincial financial system and the capital markets, providing expanded tools for local SMEs and companies.
