Banco de Tierra del Fuego provides $9.155 billion in financial assistance
The Banco de Tierra del Fuego (BTF) has provided financial assistance to 1,144 clients, totaling $9.155 billion, according to its September management report. The assistance was delivered through debt consolidation, refinancing, and reorganization tools designed to support families during a challenging economic period.
Key measures implemented in September include a 10% reduction in interest rates for personal loans, which facilitated over $4.4 billion in lending. Additionally, the bank applied a 20% reduction in financing rates for credit cards, affecting more than 30,000 Tarjeta Fueguina customers. The bank has also expanded interest-free installment options through over 60 essential goods retailers and approximately 70 pharmacies and health providers.
To increase credit capacity, BTF is diversifying its funding sources. This includes bidding for funds from the ANSES Sustainability Guarantee Fund (FGS) to support mortgage loans and housing access. President Adrián Cosentino has also engaged in international efforts, meeting with representatives from the French Development Agency (AFD), ICBC Global, and the Silk Road Fund to explore cooperation and co-financing opportunities.
