Banco del Chubut relocates General Mosconi branch in Comodoro Rivadavia
Banco del Chubut has announced the closure of its General Mosconi branch in Comodoro Rivadavia, effective November 3. The bank stated that the relocation process was accelerated following recent seismic activity in the area.
To maintain service, customers requiring teller services or pension collections must visit the Centro branch at San Martín 833. Other in-person management can be handled at the Km 5 Commercial Office located at José Ingenieros 1287. The bank also encouraged the use of digital channels, including AppBCH, Home Banking, and App Patagonia 365.
The decision has sparked local controversy. The General Mosconi Neighborhood Association, led by president Alfredo Gómez, has requested official technical reports to justify the bank's claims regarding geological risks. Community leaders noted that they have found no official documentation confirming seismic or structural risks in the sector and are seeking clarity on whether the move is purely operational or based on safety concerns.
