Banco do Nordeste finalizes Crediamigo operational bidding

Banco do Nordeste (BNB) has finalized a bidding process to select entities responsible for operating Crediamigo, South America’s largest productive microcredit program. The results of Electronic Auction No. 4/2026 were ratified following technical analysis and compliance verification.

Herc Locação de Mão de Obra e Prestação de Serviços won the contracts for the states of Alagoas, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Bahia, and Sergipe. The Instituto Nordeste Cidadania (INEC) secured the lots covering Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Maranhão, and Piauí.

Crediamigo serves over two million active clients, focusing on financial inclusion and income generation for micro-entrepreneurs. The bank noted that the selection process adhered to strict governance, transparency, and internal control standards to ensure the continuity of this regional economic development initiative.
