Banco Pichincha Perú to acquire Diners Club Perú
Banco Pichincha Perú has received authorization from the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP (SBS) to acquire up to 100% of Diners Club Perú. The acquisition, valued at 23.4 million soles, will convert Diners Club into a subsidiary. While the board initially targeted a 94.77% stake in January 2026, the objective was expanded to full ownership in May. Currently, no immediate changes are planned for the Diners Club brand, its cards, or customer product conditions.
In a separate event in Quito, Diners Club hosted a forum featuring Marc Vidal, an expert in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. The session, titled “¿Llegas a Tiempo al Futuro?”, focused on how automation and digitalization are redefining business productivity and competitiveness in the current economic landscape.
