Banco Popular Dominicano awards 61 new scholarships
Banco Popular Dominicano has awarded 61 new university and technical scholarships to high-performing students with limited financial resources through its Excelencia Popular program. This latest cohort brings the program's total to 694 beneficiaries, consisting of 301 active students and 393 graduates.
Executive President Christopher Paniagua reported that the program maintains an employment rate of nearly 80% among its graduates, with approximately one in four alumni occupying leadership or supervisory roles. The initiative operates in collaboration with 23 academic institutions, including universities and technical training centers.
Separately, Motor Crédito has launched its Service School in Santo Domingo. The program, which focuses on customer experience and service culture, is academically endorsed by the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
