Banco Popular Dominicano's finance academy exceeds 24,200 users

Banco Popular Dominicano has announced that its 'Academia Finanzas con Propósito' has surpassed 24,206 cumulative users since its launch in 2021. The free financial education platform saw 3,258 new users in the early part of 2026, marking a 13.46% increase compared to the same period last year.

The academy currently offers 18 courses taught by certified experts, covering topics such as personal finance, savings, credit, investment, and wealth management. A new course, 'Finanzas en pareja,' was recently added to assist couples with joint financial planning and communication.

To date, 891 participants have earned certifications through the program. The initiative has also correlated with improved financial behaviors among users; between January and July 2026, there was an 18% increase in the opening of emergency fund accounts and a 5% growth in average time deposit balances among those impacted by the educational programs.
