Banco Provincia reduces interest rates for consumer debt refinancing
Banco Provincia has implemented a reduction in interest rates for its consumer debt refinancing program to assist households facing high levels of indebtedness. The measure aims to reduce monthly installments by up to 20% and features a progressive scheme that offers better conditions to lower-income sectors.
For early delinquency (up to 90 days), clients with incomes up to four Minimum, Vital, and Mobile Wages (SMVM), Malvinas veterans, and domestic workers can access a 30% TNA rate. Retirees and those receiving salaries through the bank can access a 50% TNA rate. The general client base for early delinquency faces a 60% TNA rate, while credit card debt can be consolidated for up to 60 months at a 35% TNA.
For advanced delinquency (over 90 days), the most favorable rate of 25% TNA is available to over-indebted individuals or those earning up to four SMVM. Retirees and salary earners in this category can access a 30% TNA rate. The program allows for the consolidation of credit cards and personal loans into a single loan with extended terms.
Despite these efforts, some financial reports indicate challenges with recidivism, noting that approximately 30% of clients who refinanced previously have returned to default status.
