Banco Sabadell to build new AI and digital banking hub in Sant Cugat

Banco Sabadell has announced a transformation project to reorganize its corporate centers and accelerate strategic initiatives. The plan involves remodeling major offices in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Las Tablas in Madrid, and Alicante, with an estimated investment between 15 million and 18 million euros.

A key component of this strategy is the construction of a new “Project Hub” in Sant Cugat, dedicated to artificial intelligence, digital banking, and private banking. While the permanent building is expected to be operational by 2030, the bank will launch a provisional hub on October 13 to manage an initial portfolio of 12 projects.

The restructuring aims to implement a more collaborative work model and optimize office spaces. In Sant Cugat, the existing corporate building will undergo a two-year renovation to accommodate approximately 1,000 employees currently working in the bank’s Sabadell location. The bank is also evaluating the future of several other properties in Alicante and Sabadell.
