Band to broadcast De Férias com o Ex Brasil on free-to-air TV

The Brazilian broadcaster Band has reached an agreement with Paramount to air the reality series ‘De Férias com o Ex Brasil’ on free-to-air television starting in November. This marks the first time the program, originally produced for MTV, will be available on broadcast TV.

The deal follows a long-term effort by Band’s general content director, Guillermo Pendino, who had previously attempted to acquire the reality format in 2017. The series, an adaptation of the British format ‘Ex on the Beach’, features singles in a vacation setting whose dynamics are disrupted by the arrival of former romantic partners.

Previously, the franchise has been distributed via MTV, streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, and Paramount+. The move to Band is intended to expand the commercial reach of the franchise and leverage established content for the broadcaster’s entertainment lineup.
